Dzhubga – Lazarevskoe – Sochi

"Stroygasmontazh" performed the works for the construction of the Dzhubga – Lazarevskoe – Sochi gas pipeline with a length of over 170 km under the Government Program of construction of the Olympic facilities and development of the city as a mountain climate resort.

About the Project

The Dzhubga — Lazarevskoe — Sochi gas pipeline runs on the bottom of the Black Sea along the coastal line at a distance of 4.5 km from the coast. Its diameter is 530 mm, the annual capacity is 3.8 bln. m і. The estimated service life is 50 years. Its Employer is LLC «Peter Gaz». The operating organization is LLC «Gazprom transgaz-Kuban.»

The Saimaa crossing

«Stroygasmontazh» has completed the construction of an underground crossing under the Saimaa channel at the Gryazovets — Vyborg gas pipeline. The work was conducted in difficult geological conditions, using special equipment.

— The construction of the crossing across the Saimaa Channel was quite a difficult task, since nobody in the world had ever done such micro-tunnels in the rock. It is not surprising that we had to enter changes to the project three times. Moreover, in the course of works there were a number of off-nominal situations. For example, at the time of passing the entry pit at the depth of 13 meters, we came upon a quicksand, and when we reached the rock, it turned out that we could not avoid blasting works here as well. Nevertheless, all the difficulties were overcome, and the tunnel was completed.

In my opinion, it was possible thanks to the coherent cooperation of all the parties involved. We met understanding, support of our position in the resolution of any issues: financial, technical decisions, construction deadlines. Everybody helped us in LLC «SGM», from Anatoly Evseev, Yaroslav Soga, Victor Kolesnik to Alexander Tarasov, as well as in OJSC «Krasnodargazstroy», here it is worth noting Andrey Andreev and Nikolay Bulatov. It’s nice to know, that people have a sense of responsibility when working with contractors.

Now we are preparing to work on the second phase of the pipeline. Five more micro-tunnels are to be built, including crossings under the rivers Sheksna (of 700–800 m), Volkhov (980 m, it is near Kirishi town), and under the Neva and the Saimaa Channel. So in order to cross the Volkhov, we will need a new shield, able to work on the limestone rocks. Right now, together with the German company Herrenknecht AG, we are manufacturing it and hope that by the end of this year it will be ready.

Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok

The construction of the first phase of commissioning of the large-scale gas pipeline system Sakhalin — Khabarovsk — Vladivostok has been completed. Its commissioning will provide gas to consumers in Eastern Siberia and the Far East, where until now the level of gasification has not exceeded 7%. The SGM Group of Companies, engaged in the construction, laid a total of 40% of the pipeline route.

About the Project

The construction of the GTS Sakhalin — Khabarovsk — Vladivostok is provided under the Eastern Gas Program and is designed to improve the gas supply of Khabarovsk, Primorye Territory, the Jewish Autonomous Region and the Sakhalin Region, as well as to direct gas for export to the countries of the Asia-Pacific Region. The resource base of the GTS is the deposits of the Sakhalin shelf. The Employer of construction is LLC «Gazprom invest Vostok.»

The first phase of the gas pipeline with the capacity of 6 bln. m3 of gas per year will be commissioned in September 2011. It envisages the construction of 1350 km of the linear part and the main compressor station (CS) with the capacity of 32 MW in the north of Sakhalin.

First in Russia

This summer, Vladivostok OJSC “Spetsgazremstroy” is preparing to complete construction of the first gas pipeline which will pass through the Bosphor Strait on the East’s unique underwater crossing. In the autumn of the pipeline will supply gas to consumers Russky island, where a year Russia will have to receive guests and participants of the 24^th APEC summit.

Information

At the beginning of June 2011 the construction of inter-settlement gas pipeline from the GDS to Vladivostok on. Russian with a branch to TEC-2 on the mainland and the island was virtually complete.
