The construction of the Dzhubga – Lazarevskoye – Sochi trunk gas pipeline has become one of the main projects of the SGM Group of Companies.
The gas pipeline has been built and commissioned in June 2011.
The Dzhubga — Lazarevskoye — Sochi gas pipeline is a part of the Olympic facilities construction program and development of Sochi as a
The gas pipeline length amounts to 177 km, 159.5 km out of which are installed on the seabed of the Black Sea, and 17.5 km are onshore. The pipe diameter is 530 mm. The pressure is 9.8 MPa. The design capacity is 3.8 bln. m3 per year.
The onshore and offshore gas pipeline sections are connected by five crossings, built by the horizontal directional drilling method (HDD), which enabled to minimize the negative impact on the ecological system of the Krasnodar region. Construction of all the crossings was performed in extremely complicated soils with fractures and hidden cavities in the conditions of significant altitude differences.
Four gas distribution stations were built on the gas pipeline: «Dzhubga — 1» and «Dzhubga — 2», «Novomikhailovskaya» and «Tuapse» and several engineering facilities.
Increased attention was paid to conformity with the ecological requirements and execution of
LLC «SGM» was named the winner of the competition «100 best companies of Russia. Environment and Environmental management." in the nomination «Technologies of the year» for the application of the HDD method during the installation of the Dzhubga — Lazarevskoye — Sochi gas pipeline. The competition expert committee considered the project to be the best implementation of available technologies to decrease the negative impact on the environment.
