The Southern Corridor

SGM Group is engaged in construction of more than 400 km of
pipelines within the project «Expansion of Unified Gas Supply
System for Gas Provision to South Stream Gas Pipeline» as well as
in construction of Korenovskaya CS and Russkaya CS.
The Southern Corridor gas pipeline system ensures gas deliveries into the transnational
South Stream gas pipeline

Russkaya CS,the starting point of South Stream offshore part, will
become the largest
compressor stationin the world.Itsdesign capacity will be448 MW
.
The underwatercrossing (the KubanRiver) with uniquelength of 1,507 kmis constructed ona linear portion ofthe gas pipeline bymicrotunneling method.In addition to this,nine tunnels will beconstructed on the areaof gas pipeline sectionsunder channels and several tunnels – undermotorways.

Nearly 65 km of pipelines in the Krasnodar Territory pass through paddy fields. Here the works are performed withapplication of road panels and special technologies of road arrangement which allows preserving paddy fields from harm.

Over 8 thousand people are planned to be engaged in the construction of facilities at different stages
