In January 2012, the SGM Group of Companies commenced construction of two sections of the 1,420 mm gas pipeline 84 km longin total; individual sections are to be covered with ring heat insulation and, consequently, the pipeline diameter will reach 1,620 mm.
Plans are to construct the main string and a stand-by string under the Mordy-Yakha River using the pulling method.

ThE UkhTA– TORzhOk TRUNk GAS PIPElINE, 1ST PhASE
Vologda and Arkhangelsk Regions

The Ukhta – Torzhok trunk gas pipeline is a continuation of the Bovanenkovo – Ukhta trunk pipeline system. In December 2010, the SGM Group of Companies commenced the construction of the sections of the Ukhta – Torzhok trunk gas pipeline with a total length of 486 km and 1,420 mm in diameter. The pipeline route crosses the rivers of Malaya Severnaya Dvina, Libenga and Sukhona with the respective crossings carried out by the directional drilling method.

ThE OPF OF kIRINSky GCF – SAkhAlIN MCS TRUNk GAS PIPElINE
East Coast of North Sakhalin

The gas pipeline is being constructed to connect the onshore process facility (OPF) of the Kirinsky gas-condensate field and theSakhalin main compressor station (MCS), which is the starting point for the Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok gas-transportation system. April 2011 saw the launch of the 1,020 mm gas pipeline construction, 145 km long, including a stand-by string. The stand- by string is being constructed on a section where the pipeline route crosses the Tym River, and also a motor road and a railroad. In addition, the gas pipeline crosses four tectonically active fault zones, and rivers of different length requiring 12 underground and two over-the-ground crossings for their bridging.

ThE OkhANSk –kIROv GAS PIPElINE BRANCH
Perm Territory, Republic of Udmurtia, Kirov Region

The project involves the construction of the 391 km long (D=700 mm) Okhansk – Kirov gas pipeline branch running from the Perm –Gorki trunk gas pipelines (1st and 2nd strings) to GDS-1 in Kirov, and also a 124 km long (D=700 mm) looping. The project consists of several start-up complexes. The SGM Group of Companies is the general contractor for the construction of the first start-up complex of the gas pipeline in the section between the points at 48.0 km and 91.0 km, and the second start-up complex of the gas pipeline on the section between the points at 91.0 km and 132.0 km.
Work completion: 1st start-up complex - Q4, 2013; 2nd start-up complex – Q4, 2013
ThE TOkAREvkA-ZhERdEvkA GAS PIPElINE BRANCH
Tambov and Voronezh Regions
Customer: CJSC“ Gazprom invest Yug”
June 2012 saw launching of the construction of a 36 km long (D=300 mm) gas pipeline branch running from the block-valve stationon the Znamenka – Tokarevka gas pipeline to the automated gas distribution station in the settlement of Zherdevka.

RECONSTRUCTION OF ThE SARATOv – GORkI GAS PIPElINE ON ThE POChINKI– SARANSk SECTION
Republic of Mordovia, Nizhny Novgorod and Penza Regions
Customer: CJSC“Gazprom invest Yug”
The project involves construction of a new 207 km long (D=720 mm) gas pipeline to operate in parallel with the existing Pochinki –Saransk trunk pipeline. The SGM Group of Companies is the general contractor for the construction of the first start-up complex of the gas pipeline on the section between the points at 0.0 km and 76.0 km, and the second start-up complex on the section between the points at 76.0 km and 198.0 km. Facilities of the first start-up complex were brought into operation in August 2011.

RECONSTRUCTION OF ThE 1ST ANd ThE 2Nd STRINGS OF ThE ChUSOvOy –bEREzNIkI– SOlIkAMSk GAS PIPElINE BRANCHES

The project consists of two start-up complexes. The first start-up complex envisages construction of a 180 km long gas pipeline in parallel with the 2nd string of the operating Chusovoy – Berezniki – Solikamsk gas pipeline, and also the construction of underground crossings under the rivers Vilva, Usva, Kosva and Yayva. The second start-up complex includes the disassembly of the 1st string of the Chusovoy – Berezniki – Solikamsk gas pipeline, and the construction of a new 180 km long gas pipeline in its place. The reconstruction will enable to improve the stability of gas supply to the Perm Territory users
