Gas pipeline OPF of Kirinsky GCF – Sakhalin GCS

Employer: LLC “Gazprom invest Vostok”
Gas pipeline length: 148 km
Pipe diameter: 1020  mm
Pressure: 9.8 MPa
Design capacity: 4.25 billion m³ per year

The trunk gas pipeline is constructed to connect onshore processing facilities (OPF) of Kirinsky gas condensate field (GCF) and the main compressor station Sakhalin, from which starts the Sakhalin — Khabarovsk — Vladivostok gas transportation system (GTS).
The length of the gas pipeline «OPF of Kirinsky GCF — Sakhalin GCS» including the reserve string is 148 km. The reserve string is being constructed at the most difficult section, where the pipeline route crosses the Tym River, an auto road and a railway, as well as an active tectonic fault.
The route of «OPF of Kirinsky GCF — Sakhalin GCS» gas pipeline crosses four zones of active tectonic faults, which was also taken into consideration during selection of a construction technology. Building of this pipeline envisages construction of more than 10 crossing of water obstacles, as well as two aerial crossing.
At the moment, the pipeline is being prepared to receive gas: it undergoes air tests, which will last until the end of August.
The time of the project implementation under the contract is from Quarter II of 2011 to Quarter III of 2012.
LLC «STROYGAZMONTAZH» has experience in implementing major gas network projects in the Far East. The company was the general contractor of JSC «Gazprom» for construction of Sakhalin — Khabarovsk — Vladivostok gas transportation system, where it was in charge of construction of 540 km out of 1350 km (the first phase commissioning). The first phase of Sakhalin — Khabarovsk — Vladivostok was put into operation in September 2011.
