In 2012 LLC «STROYGAZMONTAZH» has completed the construction of the sixth string of
Ukhta-Torzhok trunk gas pipeline.
The sixth string of Ukhta-Torzhok trunk gas pipeline was constructed to increase the capacity of Ukhta-Torzhok system of trunk gas pipelines when transporting gas from Bovanenkovo field.
LLC «STROYGAZMONTAZH» was responsible for the construction of 483 km of gas pipeline, the total length of which is 972 km. The diameter of the pipe is 1420 mm. The pressure is 9.8 MPa. The design capacity is 81.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
Ukhta-Torzhok gas pipeline has passed through the area of Vologodsk and Arkhangelsk Regions.
The route of the 6th string of the gas pipeline has crossed Malaya Severnaya Dvina, Libenga and Sukhona Rivers. These kilometer crossings were made using horizontal directional drilling method. The longest crossing (that is through Malaya Severnaya Dvina) is 1348 meters.
During the construction of the sixth string of the gas pipeline the pipes with the diameter of 1420 mm were used, being designed for the increased (120 kg/sq cm) working pressure comparing with the pressure achieved on running gas pipelines.
The construction of Ukhta-Torzhok trunk gas pipeline includes also the construction of four compressor stations: Novosindorskaya, Novoprivodinskaya, Novonuksenitskaya and Novoyubileynaya.
